Interoperability between Yahoo 8 and Windows Live messenger

Apparently there is interoperability between the two but I can't get the thing to work. Both allow me to add contacts from the other network but then nothing, no messeges get transmitted. Has anyone used this?

I read on the yahoo site that this feature is "coming soon" .. maybe thats why it doesn't works.

I got it to work
you just have to sign in for the beta program for whichever mesenger you are using. The other person has to do so too
