charging a newly bought cell phone battery -

is it comppulsory that we shud switch off the cell phone and put charge.

why r they mention put charge for first run<intially> for 6hrs<is it??>

wotzs drawback , if we kept cell phone on..while charging?

What are you talking about? Battery will be charged only upto it is required, after that battery full will be displayed and battery will stop charging (usally 1-1.5 hour).

yes when we buy a new cell phon..shops keep say that put charge intiall y for 6 hrs..? i donno y..!!

"i put charge my cell phone..till it shows full".! takes some 40 mins thats it..!
