gprs or wap

gprs or wap, the cost is diffrent for both but what exactly is the difference b/w the two and whats better cos i need to activate one on my 6630?

I think WAPenabled gprs (full gprs) is needed for you to recieve mails in your Messaging > Inbox feature. Else w/o wap you can surf and download etc...

WAP is a ptotocol for tranfering data to small screen devices .. while gprs can be termed as a medium .. for browsing net on mobile wap is used only but it can be accessed via gprs bearer or a gsm bearer ..

now a daye edge is replacing gprs service because of its great speed..
