Hi,

I want to buy either joystick or Gamepad.

But there are different types of Games.

Like,

RACING Games (NFS--UG2,NASCAR,Road Rash,Bike Race...)

STRATEGY Games(Commandos,Age of Empires...)

Action Games(Quake 3,Unreal Tornament 2004 etc.....

Other type of Games(FIFA 2005,Flight Simulator 2004,Cricket 2004......)

I don't know what type of games are these. which Hardware will be sutiable for them.

Half-Life 2
PainKiller
Hitman 3
Call of Duty
Halo
GTA 3,Vice City....
Rome

Please suggest me for what types of GAMES, either Gamepad or Joystick will be suitable for playing. Since keyoboard and Mouse doesn't suite all types of Games.

Tell me good companies that sell these products.

Thanx
Arsenal.

4 FPSes, u r better off with the keyboard-mouse combo....
4 the others, a gamepad would b a good choice....esp since all consoles have gamepads and if u c, most of the games u have listed r available 4 consoles....i would suggest a gamepad with rumble/vibration effects...

i have a steering wheel.. cause i love racng games......
but then the keyboard mousecombo is the best for fps and strategy games..

it really depends on which genre your really into.....
but then if you play all games from all genres then a gamepad is better..
joystick is better for flight sim games... really cool... and to some extent even some bike games.. but nothing else really..

gamepads, I believe, are more versatile. Get a good gamepad with analog contol & force feedback. Tyr the Gravis eliminator aftershock. I own one, its pretty good. Cost me RS. 2700/-. Maybe you can find it for lesser. If you are into flight simulations, then a joystick is a must. A good cheap one would be a Logitech wingman attack 2. Costs a mere Rs. 900/- Good value for money. Ofcourse there are others.
