Can u shut down the pc by a timer ?

Is there a way using macros. etc to shut down the pc after a speculated time interval say 15mins or 1 hr etc . Much the same way a sleeptimer works for a TV or music system

There are lotz of software to shut down ur pc using timer.. But r u particular abt macro?

well i use a software called aye shutdown pro....All i have to do is specify the time at which the PC has to be shutdown...and it does that..

3)Press enter ....then guess what

if you are using winxp (or 2k but i am not sure) try "shutdown" command... anybody knows how to use it with at command

Its a wonderful alarm .. can play media or run files at particular time
plus you can configure it to shutdown the comp at an alarm time

or u want to do your self then u know lang c? then write program to call rundll32.exe and compile prg then it make one object file & exe at the where the u set path from c editor/option/directory then run thet exe u immidiately shutdown or as u set
