Sony DW-Q120A Problem...

Hi,
I bought this new DVD writer..But it doesnt read the files..Its shows an
I/O Error...(MY OS is XP SP2)...The i connected the drive to my friesnd's PC
(XP without SP)..Then it worked...
Please give me a solution

try on another IDE port, another cable....
as u said it works on friends' pc...

do other drives work fine on yours

yes the CD Drive works fine........................

then have u trien it on that port/cable on which the CD drive is working...

also give details of your mobo
