5.1 Speakers On 7.1 Card

Hey guys my friend send me CREATIVE 24 Bit 7.1 Sound card / SB Audigy Value Sound Card now i wanted to buy 5.1 speakers budget, will the 5.1 speakers work on 7.1 card or should i use the onboard 5.1 sound card.

offcourse ur 5.1 speakers will work on creative 7.1 soundcard. the only difference is that creative soundcard has an extra jack for side speakers which makes it 7.1 instead of 5.1....so all u have to do is to ignore that jack as you dont need that and use the soundcard as a normal 5.1 soundcard i.e. by using the front, rear and sub/center jacks present on the soundcard to connect ur 5.1 speakers...

you can use your onboard 5.1 as well as the Creative one ... however the quality of sound will be better in the latter case :)

ofcourse it will work,go through the sound card manual to setup the speaker
