Open source firewall

Looks like open source is all about linux. Anyways, I was tried to use outpost firewall from Agnitum, It is open source, but it blocked almost all pages. how to configure it correctly?

I have already uninstalled it, so i can't tell u. Meanwhile I am trying a new firewall, haven't yet installed it.
