I experienced a strange thing in Linux...
The output of my speaker was very high than that in windows, the same thing applies to my Laptop.
P.C OS -SuSe
Laptop-- Liinspire (Live CD)
Normally the Laptop's speakers can not be heard very loudly in the other room, but with linux the output seemed to be much higher!!
Is this possible...Or I one of my foolish supposition.

I don't think there's much difference in output. You should check the level of volume in all the channels and compare them with the level in windows. Maybe the level is higher in linux by default than it is in windows.

Boot with the Kubuntu cd itself and delete the Linux and swap partition and then restore your mbr with the winxp cd...
