Yet another welcome news for Linux users. the days of having to manually install Java on your Linux installation might just come to an end.

This is another great news after the adoption of the Linux standard base last month. If this trend continues, Linux will definitely pose a serious challenge to the mighty Windows on the desktop.

The same should be done with propeitery codecs like MP3, MPEG, etc. Will make the life of Desktop Linux users a lot easier.

Man these Linux guys should really do something about program installation/uninstallation system in Linux. Its really bad if you ask me. There should be some standard, easy way of installing/uninstalling propgrams in Linux. The rpm -i or the ./configures just don't cut it.
