Outlook Express not starting

I have windows Xp prof. edition in my pc. Outlook express6 suddenly stopped working. When I click OE the small blue screen opens and then hangs. Doesn't open further. Then my computer also slows down. I tried all repair kits, but no improvement. Can someone help me?

It didn't help. Still same problem of not opening. I have emptied all the folders of OE through repair and recover kit.

Most probably there is an error when Outlook Express tries to recieve mails at startup due to an incorrect POP3Tail, or termination sequence.

Just try to follow these steps:

1. Open Regedit.exe

2. Navigate to this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\POP3Svc\Parameters\CheckPop3Tail

3. Click Modify and in the Value data box, type 1.

Thanks for your suggestion. I didn't try your suggestion, as I got help from Microsoft India and solved the problem. They have requested me to cancel the identities and the problem got solved. Anyone in India can call Microsoft Technical Support
