Help Me Out - Urgent......

I installled Ubuntu recently but found that my mouse wasn't working in it.So I decided to remove it and formatted the partition containing it via Win XP.I also removed the swap partition created by it.

The problem is that when ever I start my PC it displays an error " Grub Installer Error 22".
and the computer stops there.My PC works fine when I booted it with DSL (Damn Small Linux) provided in the April 2006 CD.Help me out.

Also I have noticed that my ball mouse doesnt work in Linspire Live or any other Live CD's.What could be the problem?

i too faced this problem recently. i continously pressed Esc and then booted into XP. then, i used paragorn partition manager to disable the grub loader. then using the ubuntu cd, reformat the drive to FAT. that might help.

saurabh thanks for the advice but when I press my Esc continuously nothing seems to happen at all.The same error appears again.

just use the XP disk to repair MBR
fdisk /mbr

then try to format the partition again using ubuntu cd.
try to press F8 continously.

u have to press them in rapid succession...

Do as kniwor mentioned,It will solve te problem.

Btw why you removed Ubuntu ?Just becoz mouse is not working ?
Many times u may face prob. on linux but it doesnt mean that you leave the hopes.Try try .......
Try to download drivers of mouse.
