Hello friends,
Plz help me.When I boot my computer I see two options after installing another o/s.As I no longer need to use one of the o/s frequently,I just want to get rid of the options shown at the time of booting without uninstalling any of tjhe o/s versions.

Yes you can edit the boot.ini file. Just remove the selection entry of the OS from the boot.ini config file...

i would suggest u to just decrease the time to display the list of OS from system properties->advanced->startup & recovery settings

go to c: just edit the file boot.ini
since this boot.ini is a system file, unhide it first from going into folder options

METHOD 1:
First enable "Show hidden files/folders" and disable "Hide protected system files" options in Tools -> Folder Options.
Now goto C:\ in my computer and remove the READ-ONLY attribute of "BOOT.INI" file.
Now edit this file and set the timeout to 0.
METHOD 2:
Right-click on MY COMPUTER icon and select Properties.
Goto Advanced tab and in Startup & Recovery section, click on Settings button. It'll open a new window, in which click on EDIT button, it'll open the same BOOT.INI file.
Do same as I told in METHOD 1, set the Timeout to 0.
Hope It'll help...
