Mouse not working in Ubuntu

My mouse doesnt work at all in Ubuntu that i installed.It's worling fine in Win XP.

What might be the problem. I dont use a Ps2 mouse.

Also ubuntu shows my date and time wrong .Help me out

I had the same prob with kubuntu and FC4...so I got back to using XP n dumped Linux....cant help it...

Execute the command lsmod in a terminal window and post the output here. Also, upload your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file some place and link it here
