Ya nearly all will run smoothly. And 16 bit softwares will not work even 32 bit softwares having 16 bit install will not work.
Turbo C++ is a 16 bit software

The DOS based Turbo C++ compilers will not work in Win XP 64 bit.
You will need some compiler like Bloodshed C++ to write and compile your programs.
