Somehow i got a trojan virus on my desktop named "tbevic2b". It is not being removed by Norton Anti-virus 2005 though it has detected it. PLEASE tell me how can I remove it. Its right there on my Desktop

Try to boot ur pc in safe mode and then try scanning and hopefully it should delete the file if not then boot using windows 98 book floppy and then delete the file. Most recommended is to perform a full system scan is safe mode.

Looks like you use cracks... it comes with them sometimes... try _Virus_'s Soln or get a better anti-virus if it doesnt work... norton has lost the race, now I agree...

Actually, I had downloaded a crack :oops: :oops: :oops: . As soon as it finished downloading, Norton detected it. I ran a full-system scan. After the scan, Norton was unable to remove it. PLEASE suggest some GOOD anti-virus software which will help me remove this virus.
PS: I've got Windows XP Professional.

try avast HOME which is free for u & also does a boot time scan(b4 loading of windows).it will surely delete the virus.get it here.
