Do you have a sound card? There will be a "line in" jack.
Then get Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net).
Connect a cassette player there, play the cassette and record it in your comp using Audacity. Then you can make an ACD as well as MP3 :D

Hay look!!!
process is really easier one.
1. you are having the 3 input ports to your
sound card.
2.one of the ports will be sound 'IN' .
3. now go to your nearest electronics shop & buy
a 2 meter shielded wire & connect 2 pins like the pin you are having with your spaker pin connected
to your sound card.
4. now connect one end to your walkman & other to sound in port.
5. use MUSICMATCH SOFTWARE & record.
bye.......

I agree on both the post..
But for good recording make sure the volume of walk man is abt 75% not full..
also the recording sonud of line in jack shld be less than 40%
Prefferably use an edittor as mentioned by tuxfan
Audacity is good...
Better r COOL EDIT PRO, SOUND FORGE
