Aww, isnt it common sense I mean, come on one cant rewritte 60% of an OS if it were s/w then its ok, but rewriting OS no company wud dare to do, esp M$

Whats not to believe, microsoft is quite capable of it, they will simply recover the additional costs by some exhorbitant pricing policy, I mean we all know its pricing policy for all its other products, like the downloadable contents for xbox 360 viz live

I think this is where they are making mistake
"The next phase of development focuses on security, testing and fit/finish - not writing new code," the spokesperson added.
They are trying to get everything right by "testing" but everytime the poor guys try to do it...they break something else. Then they fix the new break and create another one. They should follow their old routine..i.e. of releasing half cooked OS and then releasing patches when users find problems ;)

Dude,if the OS has some major bugs, then even MS wud prefer to rewrite the whole (its only 60% in this case) code rather than trying to fix it up l8r on, which wud prove much costlier ;) ;and wudn't provide the desired stability.
They dont have to dare to do this, its a compulsion.
