since u say kav has created .kavichs files, and now since u have formatted ur os/c drive, and consequently made kav redundant, further by installing nav instead, u can now safely delete the kav folder along with these file/folders.

my entire mp3 collection has that steam with it.i cant delete my entire collection!!!!(wen i tried to copy of the file with that type of extention,a prompt came which said copying will remove the additional data steam of the file and it showed the stream to be as :KAVICHS:$DATA)
is this made by kaspersky or the virus?

This is what Kaspersky does to you. I have always found Kaspersky too nosey for comfort. Anyways, here's the solution.
First use the official Kaspersky KLStreamRemover on your HDD
ftp://ftp.kaspersky.com/utils/klstreamremover/
Usage:KLStreamRemover.exe -r C:\
Then use NTFS Stream Eraser
http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Streams.html
Usage is given on the page itself.
If the stream is still left with any files, move those files to a FAT32 partition and then back to NTFS. It will be removed.
