there are couple of sound cards available for laptop but i m not sure whether they are available in india ....

mostly from creative

Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit External

Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX

Audigy 2 ZS Notebook

and offcourse Sound Blaster Extigy which is way too costly ...

1st one is USB card and third one is PCMCIA card .....

if can go for the 1st one buy that its a good card and u will not repent

though i wouldn't suggest u to go for others ......and the truth is there are aren't actually many .... ...i don't know anything other which has better sound reproduction or SNR !

there is one more HERCULES GAME SURROUND MUSE ......decent and available and will be around that range !

there is one by audiotrack maya EX 5 (again i don't know about availability )
