i had win 98 and win xp-proffesional...
i generally use xp... but when i do scanning for virus, my pc restarts , when the scanning is going for dllcache folder...
so can any body tell wats the problem.....
Is there any tool for removing bad sector.?

i m using avg7 and microsoft antispyware.. in both case while scanniing, pc restarts after scanning for dllcache folder.....
i had installed the xp ... i had installed the os again...
also i had 40gb harddisk, but it shows only 31gb.... wat to do?

i think virus had attacked the scanner also.better reinstall the os....

Reinstallig Xp dosent help then backup u r data and re partition the Hard Disk.It will solve ur problem.
I think you may either have bad sectors or uncrated disk space.TO fix Bad Sectors just run Scandisk from Win XP (not 98).If u have unused disk space then just create it while installin xp or by using soft like Partition Magic.
