Link to try ABYY. It is really cool but you have to check
each and every page you scanned as it could interpret
it incorrctly.

No it can't and afaik no OCR software can help you in this case.

yes abbyy can detect hadn written text
they advertise ... it as "able to detect hadn written chalans specially for indian business"
or something like that

ofcourse the rate of detetion will vary with handwriting and neatness ..
u can ofcourse try it

and yeah it is the best ocr available out there and most commonly used as well

I tried abby to scan my handwriting but even though it is clean and neat i got error in every word.
Is there any software in which we can actually scan each and every word of our handwriting and define that:
this is my "a", this is "b"
such kind of stuff.
It would really help us with our assignments and other written work.But the handwriting should have perticular style!!

This is the best OCR available any where.No other ocr can beat it...

Have a try with Omnipage 15 as well. I find it much better than Abby. May be it will help you.

i tried abby v8. but i cannot find any option for hand written text.
