Hi guys,
Just wanted to know wether these peer to peer networks are safe to share things on the internet. I know the logically answer would be "HELL NO",

However can we take a precaution to protect the computer from accidently loading virusus from them?

I for example am using all these softwares for safe guarding my computer like Norton anti-virus fully updated, spybot 1.3, spyware blaster etc etc...

Please tell me know what you ppl have done in this regard and your experiences.

PS. and yes lastly i hope these aren't illegal to use??

Im using edonkey. It runs 24/7 on my Pc. [except when gaming demands more bandwith :p]

U can do a few things.
1. Be careful, and use common sense.
2.Scan ur pc everynow and then. [My Nav Corp. scans everyday at 3]
3. Check for spyware atleast once a month too.
4. Keep ur Av Updated..

Oh and again, be careful.

Scanning with an updated av after downloading thru p2p is a must if you want to stay safe. You never know what they might contain.
