restart the pc and keep pressing delete button, then bios screen will appear , In the bios change the first boot up device to CDROM,then save the settings and exit the bios

from this u can start the fresh installation of XP and u r asked to format before installation , format the C drive

u wont have an option saying boot frm CD...

instead look for an option like... (( in BIOS ))
1st boot device..>
2nd Boot device...>
3rd Boot Device ... >

because u have to make CD ROM as boot device and then start the installation....go thru every option/menu/submeneu in BIOS...u'll find the option!

The problem is your temperory installation files for windows is saved in the same partition that u want to delete. (If you have an original Windows XP boot CD this wont happen).

Now the easiest way is to delete the partion using some third party tools like Pqmagic.

What I didn't had the bootable CD.

But a new problem............

I have written a new bootable CD and reinstalled the winXP and formatted everything I want
But the windows gives an error that original files have been replaced insert the winXp cd in the Drive

I have created the bootable Cd using nLite and installed all the post-servicepack updates.
Do I have to reinstall windows from same cd(integreted postupdates) or the original xp cd will work.

tht depends on the files tht have been replaced
in most cases the old CD should work
coz the files copied are mostly frm the i386 folder

Try creating a bootable original XP cd without service pack. You can get the boot file from microsoft.com, and write a new cd with the boot file in nero along with old XP cd contents.

Use the cd which u have used during the installation time. And other cd won't work.
