hey guyz
what the f**k is dis NTLDR.
my computer is not booting due to dis .the error msg which i get is "ntldr is missing. plz restart"

two days back i was having problem with hal.dll file so i hav formatted my system.now plz help i dont want to format it again.

in both the cases i had hibernated my system instead of shutting down.is the problems arising due to hibernaton???? i used to hibernate before as well but i never faced such things...
or it may be some motherboard problem???

plz help guyz i got fed up :(

Dude NTLDR is primary bootloader for all NT faimly of Windows OS it is the basic file due to which Windows boots Its not a mobo prob

Make a startup disk from someone else computer . Use it to boot your computer , then copy boot.ini from the floopy to drive

there can be many factors for this error
one cud be that ur hard disk may be corrupted or ntldr file is corrupted

boot your computer by using the xp disk and enter into the recovery console....

at the command prompt type "chkdsk /p"
if it finds one or more errors than run "chkdsk/r"

restart the sys by typing "exit"

if the prob still persists than we need to recover ntldr file but first run chkdsk on your sys
