Finally going for Logitech webcam but cmos or ccd ?

After getting some nice suggestions from senior digit members i have planned to go for logtiech ,,,,,,,i have one intex which is worlds most worst webcam i have
but while i was comparting lot of logitech products i have seen some tech details of webcams then i have observed webcam which have VGA CCD sensor ,,are expensive price range is 4500 and more and webcams which have VGA CMOS have price up to 1500-1800,

why so ?
whats basic difference of quality of pics video ?
expecting expert opinions of digit fellows

CCD will give u better quality picture than CMOS. So go for CCD based camera.
