my dvd rom doesnt read dvd rewritable

i have a samsung pleomax dvd rewritable 4x, 4.7 gb and sony dual layer dvd writer, problem is that when i write any thing on the dvd rewritable my dvd rom does not read it, but the dvd writer reads it fine. whatz the problem????

Most probably an incompatibility between the disc and the drive.Some drives are unable to read certain brands of discs.U could try using an RW disc of another brand.

i have a LG combo drive, dono the model number, the drive reads original DVD (like Digit DVD) perfectly but with DVD+R is a nightmare, it does recognise the DVD but i cant copy data or even play movies. it makes a strange noise (reader head). do u guys hav any problem with LG combo drives????
