What is the recommended specs for burning a DVD at 16X?

I am planning on upgrading my computer to:

P-4 3.0 Ghz, 865 or 915 Motherboard (not yet decided), 512 MB RAM (DDR400 or DDR2 533; depending on the motherboard), Seagate 160 GB HDD (IDE or SATA).

Will the above specs be sufficient? For a DVD-Writer, I am thinking of Lite-on or Benq DW-1640.

a specs looks Ok... will burn with no problem.. coz i have a similiar spec and had no problem at all... but will sugest you to have free space on ur system drive by 5-6 Gb for smooth operation......

and for dvd wrier ur choice are good.. but i personally will recommend sony 810 DRU which rocks.... and i hd used it...
