Please tell whether the Fast Track books are on CD or on DVD because people like me dont have DVD drives. Contents are good if not great but some more good games on CD were required instead of the same Virus Software given month after month on CD.

Hi!

First of all WISH YOU ALL A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!

And congrats to Digit for another good edition!

But I have one thing to point. About the article on your 'remind me' file creation and 'sticking' it up on the desktop! But isn't it funny that you don't need to do any of the things you say but just create a normal notepad file with the file name as "Things to do" or something of that sort? Comeon guys, we expect something more original from you than this!!! Well there are real 'stick up' notes in Outlook application's 'notes' icon! They actually do stick up on the desktop and you can add new ones then and there itself (save them as 'message' with the 'save as' comand)! Well, is there anyway we could create such file or file clips on the desktop itself? if you could tell us about that, then it would be indeed great!

And I wanted to bring to your notice that last month's DVD did not have the old Digit pdfs as printed on the book.... could you please tell me what I can do?

Raaabo it is now getting into my nerves, every month the digit issue is late, just for query can I terminate this contract (I don't want a refund). What is going on, the issue gets to the newstand on the 1st and we subscribers have to wait till mid of the month. Sorry if I have used harsh words but u can understand my position. So pls do something.
When I called the helpdesk @ Kolkata they told me that I would be reciving my copy on the 7th but it is 8th already and I haven't recieved it yet. Nowdays I don't even recieve the e-mail regading the delivery of the magazine. Help.
This issue seems to be great but whats the point if I don't recieve it in time.

i received my copy on 8th and have almost finished reading it.lookin forward 2 fast track looks pretty interesting!digit has done gud work last month 2 bring out a fanastic magazine this month.also the softwares included are gr8!!!

sorry sudipto,you also know it isn't the case,digit has time and time again given age-old programs and boast of it on cover of cd,also the the december issue which was charged 200Rs just for useless cds like mid-town madness,terminator is un-called for!
I got hold of this forum lately and will only buy it if it can offer some real stuff!!

i hope digit people better give software which are pretty recent and not out-datede software which are 4-5 months old,for example the updates for viruscans were of november.11?????????????????????

Raaabo gives so many outdated softwares.
Even though many users, including me, provide him with links to all the latest available necessary & good softwares, drivers, he either still gives out old ones or not at all.

I am very disappointed with the January CD-DVD contents!

From next time, I will buy only if the contents of CD-DVD are good.

I don't think Jan 2006 is value for Rs.125/- as we already have almost all the stuffs in previous digit DVDs.

That's probably a typo in the description. The antivirus updates are probably Nov 29th or Dec 6th, will check and get back on that.

We repeat good software when newer versions are released. Stuff like Opera and Firefox will always be included in the CD/DVD because they come out with updates so often.

CD/DVD is finalised on the 8th of the previous month, so Antivirus updates will always be a little older. If you remember I stopped giving them for this same reason and the people here demanded my execution! They said they'd rather have older updates than none at all, or have to download them.

I guess you really cannot please everyone!

I agree.
No use posting the preview at end of the month when we can view the preview at Digit homepage at end of month.
I think they should scrap the Digitized forum since, since they (Raaabo, others) don't give out what we demand + they doesn't post the preview in time.
Last month's delay may be acceptable, but if they are gonna be late in everything in this forum, then no use of the Digitized forum.
This s_h_i_t can't be & won't be accepted.
