I want to buy a dvd player.
which is the best in the 3000-3500 rupees range.
I saw a phillips one for 3000 and samsung for 3500. I also saw an LG one for 3800.
i am unable to decide. please help.
my main concern is that it should play the kind of scratched cds and dvds found in indian consitions.
i do not want something delicate.
I dont want fancy features. I want paisa vasool player.... ;)

The Philips DVD Player works fine & it plays scratched CD's better than many other players & its reliable too.
I am having a Sony DVD player & the performance is great, though the Menu's are poorly designed & are not visually pleasing.

Would you kindly tell me which model of Phillips you are referring to?
Is it this one?

Sorry for bugging you, but how do I know which model of phillips is suitable for me?
I went to the shop today. The guy showed me a phillips dvd player with a model no. which went something like 6xx
It was ultra slim I think..
I am confused. I am not sure which DVD player would work for me.

But, the phillips dvd player i was shown cost 3000.
I think I was shown an inferior model.
Do you think I should buy this online or should I buy it from a shop?

It costs only 2999/- but lacks good sound quality.
Find out how much these cost & choose one of them
DVP3007/69
DVD622/97
If you can stretch your budget, the DVP3005K/69 would be a good option.
The newer ones can play Divx but i dont think they come in your budget.
