Am using WinXP SP1 which came preloaded but without CD.
If, god forbid, I have to format my HDD how do I reload XP without the CD ?
In some forum some where, I do not remember there was a reference to this. I followed the link and was taken to Microsoft site. My computer was sacnned and Microsoft downloaded winxpsp1 en pro bf. There were some instructions that I would require blank floppies etc. I really feel like an ass for being in a hurry and not paying attention.
Anyway can anyone help me ?

i think there's only one way to install XP without a CD and applying updates is... only if ur on a network through unattended installation using an ISO/NRG image mounted on virtual drive on one of network system where from ur installing... lol.... it's too long and complicated...

u better get a copy of XP... ask ur computer manufact... to give u an OEM CD if they can....... or just buy one... i think at least ur OS must me GENUINE ;-)
