HI,
I HAVE A CELERON 1.1 GHZ WITH GIGABYTE GA-6IWFE MOTHER BOARD.
WHEN I OVER CLOCK MY PROCESSOR FROM 1.1 TO 1.2 OR 1.3 GHZ. MY SOUND CARD IN WINDOWS AND LINUX GET DISAPEARED PLZ. TELL ME WHAT IS THE PROBLEM. THE SOUND CARD IS INBUILT.

Well, I had a similiar problem, in the early days when I tried to OC my pc, sound would dissapear while playing ... I dunno the exact reason :|

Think its more than your soud card.. Most likely most other things would also stop working. Looks like you are also increasing the clock frequency of your PCI bus. A lot of cheap cards are designed to work no faster than 33 MHZ.. Even 34 or 35 would fail. One major problem with this is also it would corrupt your data on your hard disk.

I 'v heard that overclocking graphics cards can shorten its life span. By how much will it do this? I have a new XFX 8800GT, and it runs Collin Macrae Dirt at around 30fps on medium settings. Will overclocking make it increase the fps at higher graphics settings?
