u can check for sonyericcson models there are 1-2 models with ur requirment.its 300 or something i dont know the exact model number.

you can go for Sony Ericsson J300i, One of the top selling handset here. Its around 4.5-5k. But no IR, But also can transfer through Data Cable.

Its IR is of no use. It can,t pair up with other phones like SE of nokias60....Yes it has brilliant colours(65k) but its of no use in dat tiny screen.
But its dat cheap to make up impress.

its got nice sound....but now its quite old...we hv new models around....checkout se website

don't buy a j200i!!! its keypad is pathetically hard! and it doesn't haf an inbuilt modem for pc connection. beside, the interface is sluggish!

well i do agree wit u infra...i was just sayin according to his demand...he just needs an ir, 65k screen under 4.5k...didnt mention abt modem n all...ya warning: this fone does hangup if not maintained properly...n keys r tight too (though dat aint much big a problem)....overall its not that gud a performance...j300i is a gud replacement but wit no ir...thats all....think hard dude

Yes, J300i has Mp3 Playback support. I normally copy songs to my mobile from my computer using data cable.

yes it does have modem n u can set songs as ringtones....if u know k300i....then u know this one as well....its d same without cam n irda....n as far as i know theres no set wit mp3 n modem below j300i...others plz confirm this.

j300 got same s/w as k300 n im browsing via k300 rite now (airtel).....its got decent speed...suports wat can be max by airtel....if speeds concern get some edge fone....will be better in speed
