Help...anybody got Soldier Of Fortune ?

Hey i want to install this game, but one folder's files are all messed up and renamed maybe because they exceed 8 charecters. So the game is not installing and at 99% its giving the error message that xyz.jpg is missing. and exists. I have tried a few stunts but the game wont work unless i complete the installation.

Could anybody please email the folder to me. The folder is Docs cd:\Setup\Docs. Its 2.03 mb but after compressing in 7z its 1.3mb only :D . I have attached a screenshot.

looks like you dont have a proper back up of the original. Whoever made this copy did not take care to keep the long folder and file names. So pretty much the disk is useless unless u know the folder and file names individually and can rename them :D In the original CD u wont have the 8 char related issues

It doesnt have to be an original. It could be a legit backup. So lets not assume anything at the moment.

Well, if you DO want to rename the files yourself, (I don't think you'd want to unless you have so much time and patience :D) point your browser here (http://www.angelfire.com/ut2/enoonmai/dirlist.txt) to get the filenames. It would be best if you could just get a copy of the game from someone else and use your own CD key rather than bother with all the trouble. If you're using a pirated copy, do yourself and the world a favor and get the original.

Yeah it is the 8.3 issue. i know what is the problem im looking for solutions(got one from enoonmai). and Yes it is the Original copys' backup, original copy was stolen.

1) I think u should shut down ur site -www.annakr.tk immediately. I dont think u have published any of the images by talking permission from the authors. Please do that cos ur violating their copyright. Heck, i have more pics of Anna and of better quality that ur FaNsItE.

2) I also wonder if u own legit copies of the webauthoring tools u have. Okay anyway, there are many free tools anyway on the net.

3) Powered by phpBB 2.0.8...Hmmm...i wonder if u have bought that forum software. PLease remove that forum from ur website, or ill be reporting that to the makers. [EDIT - okay now i know its freeware]

Sure, but which folder do you want? The Docs folder? I can either upload or email them, heck, I can even send a copy of the setup files on a CD (I'm in a good mood today, bunked work so me and my gf can watch movies :D) But the game's copy-protected, so are you gonna get a no-cd patch? Coz I don't seem to have one for that game. And don't bother paying back, the only game I seem to want these days is HL2. :D I didn't buy anything after Doom3. As for the books, thanks but no thanks :wink: I wouldn't mind getting any Calvin and Hobbes e-books though, if you have any :D
