blank screen during clicking a link

i use both internet explorer 6 and opera 7.54 for browsing.recently after upgradation to win xp pro, i have noticed a peculiar problem.i.e when you click a link during browsing instead of opening that link a blank screen appears in both the browsers.an any one help?

is it due to any settings in internet iptions?

Try re-installing the browsers ;-)

try uninstalling opera and perform a registry clean up on ur own to remove any keys left by opera. i m not sure it will work but just remebered the proverb "Too many cooks spoil the broth"

i think it is the work of the OS, reinstall the OS.
or if u have google in ur favorite list u can type the site u want to browse and it gets u the link...
