Guys!
Pls help me in this problem!

My system configuration is as following:

CPU Type : Intel Pentium IIIE, 800 MHz (6 x 133)
Motherboard Name : Lucky Star 6B810E1/6P2810/6P2A810
Motherboard Chipset : Intel Whitney i810E
System Memory : 128 MB (PC133 SDRAM)
BIOS Type : Award Modular (12/19/00)

I want to add one more 256 MB RAM into my system.
But i can only add SD RAM bcoz my system doesnt support other types of RAM ( liek DDR, etc ).

And my system assembler told me that companies hv stopped manufacturing of SD RAMs, and he can give me only 128 MB SD RAM.

He also told me that if i add 256 into my system then my system might not work properly bcoz of bus speeds and other things.

Now pls suggest me what should i do now?
is my system assembler telling me right?
Should i go for 128 MB RAM?

here you go:
http://search.ebay.in//search/search.dll?from=R40&satitle=sdram+133

...and here's the 256MB you're looking for:

He also told me that if i add 256 into my system then my system might not work properly bcoz of bus speeds and other things.

Prolly your motherboard doesn't support more than 256MB, although that's highly unlikely yet possible. Check on the internet. Oh yeah, afaik, the amount of RAM supported by the mobo doesn't depend on the bus speed, rather it's a chipset thing.

thnx for the reply dude!

But i don't want to purchase them from net, coz i live in a small city in UP and such services don't work here.

What I wanted to know is does my system support 128 + 256 MB SD RAM together?

Will this combination work fine?

And how much RAM can my system support?

Check on the internet.

...or wait till eternity until somebody who has used the mobo replies back. Good luck.
