Hi,

Since, u're not gettin ny errors like "Windows can't find mplayer2...",
th file exists in ur Windows Media Player dir but "maybe" it's corrupt.

So, try to replace it first. This may not solve ur prob as mplayer2.exe is only
5 KB in size suggesting tht it doesn't work stand-alone. Bt wht's th prob in tryin?

Just rename mplayer2.exe to trigger Windows File Protection n thn use ur Windows XP CD to replace the file.
If only th file's corrupt ths shud solve ur prob otherwise it wudn't. :( I cudn't test the soln as my mplayer works fine.
