I am really disappointed for I have to wait for another month to check to see the bundle Knoppix. I have placed a similar request on LFY forum even they seem to be ignoring the demand for Knoppix!

What is the purpose of it in the first place, when they don't care to include what we demand ?

I agree to certain extend that, some legal issues are there with copyright and NOT FOR FREE DISTRIBUTION THROUGH MEDIA kind of things.

But I see that most demands do not fall into the above legal catagory and could have been easily included with the DVD/CD.

I feel DIGIT should start researching on this as well before other mags catch up and DIGIT gets buried somewhere!

No other mag includes 90% of what readers demand, we do. Linux Distro's were given a break for 3 months because, according to popular demand (by forum members, not my opinion), it was a "waste of space".

This month we have included the latest PDFs, though you will have to browse the folders to see them as we did it last minute and didn't update the Flash interface. Apologies for that!

Certain older versions seem to have crept in somehow, I will make sure this does not happen again—I will have to become more actively involved in making DVDs/CDs from now on. Apologies for the few older versions as well!

Sneha we'll give you your wallpapers soon. About Linux Distro's, no promises but i'll try. Everything else feel free to Demand, but remember, popular opinion will prevail, so not all your demands will be met—feel free to shoot a few hostages because of this! :)

But, what about users like me who will find 90% of the cd/dvd contents useless as I use only linux. I don't mind you not giving linux distros but atleast you'll should have given some more softwares.

Ok so this was the primary reason. But you forgot to include a PREVIEW in the October month about the next FASTTRACK, so the confusions.

I think the people at DIGIT are finding hard to fill the space in CD/DVD.
To fill the CD/DVD what they do is just repeat the softwares that are already carried out. Adobe DVD encore 1.5 was carried out just two months back and now. Similarly more than 30% of the CD/DVD space has been occupied by older softwares. This is not good..

Since when you people started distributing pirated stuff? AFAIK, this
particular version (if it's not a DEMO, of size ~14MB), is a cracked release
of a commercial disassebler software.

Yeah! Frustrating...........

I downloaded Slax, Insert, DSL and other small Linux Distros from a Cyber Cafe nearby, by paying a lot....... And they dont download larger files such as knoppix............. I would pay them if they would........... I can't order the CDs as well, coz we don't have credit cards here in Nepal...... And broadband connections are too costly here, to afford........ So my only source for Linux distros is Digit...... but I have been demanding knoppix for so many months and not only me who is demanding for knoppix....... But these ppl are not giving it out........ Moreover, they are also not giving any other distros of Linux or much Linux content for an escuse..... They include Wallpapers, Game demos and such cr@p but not a 700 Mb rescue toolkit and OS itself...... I dont know what to say...... But I'm gonna demand again.... What else can we do anyways??

a suggestion: u don't u folks...just try to add sumthing 10 unique things to ur every article n never repeat it any other issue...unless the situation becums real crappy...now tat 10 things can be reports , articles , sftwr ......or how abt includin a article which is very very interesting but too difficult 4 readers 2 spot it else were even in the net.....or a sftwr which is not free in net but useful nd doesn't increase the price of the mag .....don't keep on givin demos n shareware..........think guys it has been more than 4 yrs......yes tat wud be gud ...how abt giving a sftwr which is less than half a dollar...or more if u guys can afford....but useful....like the jukebox by music match....very useful....c ing the no.of ads n low quality paper....i hope u guys can afford it.
