strange mouse problem

i have a strange problem about my mouse.the pointer moves randomly up and down without touching the mouse.i have done all the things to be done.sometime it move smoothly but often it give me this problem and it goes alright from doing what ,i don't know.has my mouse got problems?

Is it an Optical Mouse ?

If yes .. then
change the mouse pad. Buy a good mouse pad from a computer shop or a soft cloth can do the work too.

if it's a non-optical type, try to keep your cellphone away from your mouse!!..
clean the ball and the X-axis and Y-axis sensors.

check your system for virus/trojans/spywars etc

make sure your computer has proper earthing!
