HEY DUDES HELP ME OUT!!!

Whenever I install few games and softwares i get the following message:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT . The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose "Close" to terminate the application.


and I get two options- Close & Ignore
Close- closes the application
Ignore- nothin happens :(

plz help me out. I am writin this with a lot of hope

PS: P4,2.8Ghz,256 ram,windows XP

Please mention which particular games and softwares or a few of them which give you such issues to get a solution.
