MTNL has duscontinued to provide new connections under the telephone for internet scheme. Old subscribers will continue to get service at revised rates:
Scheme A > old tariff 500/->>new 1000/-
Scheme B > 700?- >> 1400/-
Moral of stroy: Now Broad band will be cheaper than dial up. [Reliance broadband costs 750/- a month]

This is really bad. I get my 256 kbps unlimited connection from hathway from 1200. U gonna pay 1400 :shock: for 56kbps unreliable MTNL connection. I think ppl r gonna move away from MTNL.

I got that plan of 256kbps from hathway. Its 995 + service tax + modem rent (if u use rented modem) and the service quality for this plan has been lot better than what i've seen before. In the last 3 months I've only had it down for a day. And the speed is almost near the claimed one. Its a great scheme.
