The A7N266-VM mobo has a 4x agp slot.. there are a lot of problems while installing higher graphics cards like 5700,5900,9800 pro etc..
conflict betn drivers is said 2 b reason
any experiences or comments??

oh i have the same mobo....
but i also have the geforce mx 440se with 4x agp port.. so no probs.. here..
i did have probs with the 5700 .. the pc used to freeze.. not so sure why.
so reversed back to mx..
A7N266-VM has been reported to have problems with drivers , supplied on the CD, particularly with WIN 98SE. What is your OS? Downloading unified drivers from the NVidia site and installing the same should solve the problem.

i use xp pro - sp2 slipstreamed
i called up asus n they said some blabber..the guy might not b a techie..(said 8x card needs 8x agp..)
the latest drivers crash the system on boot... lol funny..but sad

i guess this cod b solved bu a bios update
just check for the latest biod update from the manufacturers website
this wod solve the prob
