I just had a look at Gnoppix 0.8 and man!! Its really cool! Very good looking and neat icons. Bundles along Firefox 0.9.3, Thunderbird 0.7.3, Evolution 1.4.6, OpenOffice 1.1.1, BlueFish Editor, MonoDevelop (this one failed to start), MPlayer, XMMS, Xine, K3B, etc. Also a Debian Menu for debian users. The splash screen also has a debian logo alongwith GNome logo. Over all, left a pleasant impression.
But I couldn't connect to the net because I didn't know the root password. Can anyone please tell me the root password for Gnoppix 0.8? Thanks.

Try typing 'su' at th terminal. I've heard that this automatically makes u root. Th password cud be 'gnoppix' itself. In SLAX, th default root passwd was 'toor'. U cud try this too.

Simply use sudo to set one as you like to
sudo passwd

Knoppix = KDE as GUI
Gnoppix = GNOME as GUI

Gnoppix is more pleasant looking. Has bundled some good softwares as well.
What id10t is also right. Gnoppix is GNOME, Knoppix is KDE.
