Not all VCD/DVD movies are working on PC.

Hello,

I have a regular CD-ROM Drive + a DVD-ROM Drive too.
I notice that not all the VCD movies work on the CD-ROM Drive.
The same happens with DVD Movies.

Some DVD Movie discs are not at all recognized by my PC DVD Drive.

But these VCD/DVD Movies work on a regular VCD/DVD Player that is attached to a TV.


Why some of the VCD/DVD movies doesn't work on my PC?

Basic PC Config:
Pentium 4 - 2.4GHz
256MB DDR
Sony CDROM Drive
Sony DVDROM Drive
nVidia GeForce MX Graphics card.


Is this a software problem or hardware problem? Can I do some configuration settings to fix this problem.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

a strange problem u hav here. generally everything under d sun works when run on a pc and somethings dont run on regular electronics devices. but ur problem is completely opposite. if u hav d space, copy d movies that do not run 2 ur HDD and then run them. also check 2 make sure they r not damaged in any way. hav u tried running vcd movies with ur dvd drive? if not try that.
