So the prices of 3xxx+ would come down soon!GREAT!!!!
Hope the FX vertions would be available in local markets along with vegetables( just joking).

Hey do the current 939 board supports those CPU's?Does the new standard support DDR2?

The new DDR2 supported processors will have a new socket and its not compatible with existing 939 sockets, also its going to have a on die graphics controller , so next few years is going to be intresting.

except the ddr2 the rest would be or should be compatible with socket 939 mobos.. but you`d need a bios flash before these new processors are recognized..

i read somewhere......cant remem(so cant confirm it)....amd will start working on ddr2 platform mobo in 2006.....and basically they will try to enhance its feature...since its not that promising.......

No need to get hyped up over DDR2 - Its nothing too great, just DDR with better latencies.

AMD is NOT looking forward to DDR2 (even if they make a platform for it), they are waiting for DDR3 to appear.

Yes thats what i thought , i also posted a topic on that too , but they have DDR2 in their roadmaps .So i think they are up by Q1 2006.
