Unable to open windows

hello friends, i have lenovo 3000g 400 series laptop, was unable to open winxp OS , it was just showing blank screen, i thought that it is best to repair through the windows CD, but after insering win cd just when the booting stage reaches -the point where it shows setup is about to start windows, error occurs it shows as follows - stop:- Unknown hard error\system root\System32\ntdll.dll on contacting lenovo engineer he says something is wrong with CD or CD Optical Drive, my doubt is IS ntdll file missing in WIN XP CD?

Most probably you have got a corrupt installtion disk. Check out: http://forums.techguy.org/windows-nt-2000-xp/542064-help-installing-xp-error-systemroot.html
