Intel 965 resolution issues

Hi Guys,

I have a Dell Vostro 1200 with the Intel 965 with built in graphics. I was looking at buying a 24" 1920*1200 monitor as an external monitor and found that the card supports only 1600*1200 OR 1920*1440.

Now I find that its a known issue with this board. Is there any solutiion?

Sounds to me crazy to support 1920*1440 which sounds like a 4:3 while all large monitors are now 16:10/9.

Got a solution here but yet to see if it works.

Seems to work - show the res on the settings but have yet to try it on the actual monitor
