If it were so perfect I don't think it would have lost despite of MS's clout, secondly on this forum itself many members have said that ODF has it's share of problems, which renders it im-perfect.

MS has this huge interoperatibility drive going on and cyrus this is why i requested you to change the topic title
Metal, OOXML is suported
partially in office 2k7, office 14 will have it by default.
