GDDR5 has already hit prototype graphics cards from the AMD HD4xxx series
GDDR4 has already hit most of the AMD Radeon HD3870 cards
GDDR3 is there in every respectable graphics card

and sadly, PCs are faaaaaaaaar behind.
its even surprising to note that by subtracting costs for graphics cards of the same model from the same company with different RAMs, you may find that 512 mb GDR3 ram costs only Rs. 1000 extra

So PC DDR3 ram is still highly overpriced.
