I don't seem to understand what has RAM got to do with data corruption!!! If RAM would have been faulty, the computer wouldn't have started at all.
You could try one thing.
Backup u'r data on another hard disk.
And do a full format of the hard disk, not a quick format.
It will completely erase all of the data on hard disk by writing 0's to all sectors.
If this too does not help, then better get your hard disk replaced.
